Onyx Ski & Sports Club Youth Development Foundation, Inc is a partnership of the Onyx Ski & Sports Club of Tampa Bay the National Brotherhood of Snow Sports.
Vision
We envision a future where every young person believes that their potential is not limited by their circumstances. Through exposure to new experiences and new environments of winter sports, we help youth in the Greater Tampa Bay area broaden their perspectives, build confidence, and see a future filled with possibilities they may never have imagined for themselves.
Mission
To use winter sports, travel, and positive mentorship as pathways for personal growth — helping youth expand their horizons, develop character, and discover what is possible for their lives both on and off the mountain.
Our Impact
Since 2019, the Onyx Ski & Sports Club Youth Development Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, has provided transformative experiences for more than 150 youth in the Greater Tampa Bay area. By introducing participants to winter sports, we help them develop confidence, resilience, and a belief that they can achieve goals that once seemed out of reach.
What We Do
Through our partnership with the National Winter Activity Center's Winter4Kids Academy in Vernon, New Jersey, youth are introduced to experiences many never imagined they would have the opportunity to explore. Participants are recruited through community organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs and The Skills Center, which share our commitment to helping young people reach their full potential.
For many participants, the program represents their first time seeing snow, traveling on an airplane, or participating in winter sports. While learning to ski or snowboard is an important part of the program, the greater purpose is helping young people realize that the world is larger than what they see every day. By traveling to new places, interacting with peers and mentors from different backgrounds, and overcoming challenges on the mountain, participants gain confidence and begin to see possibilities for themselves that extend far beyond the slopes.

Every young person deserves a way to dream bigger. Each year, the Onyx Youth Foundation aims to raise $30,000 to provide youth with access to the Winter4Kids program — covering transportation, winter clothing, equipment, instruction, lodging, and mentorship for every participant, regardless of financial circumstances.
