TAMPA BAY'S PREMIER ENTERTAINMENT ALTERNATIVE ONYX SKI and SPORTS CLUB of TAMPA BAY P.O. Box 76201 * TAMPA, Fl. 33675 Onyx Ski and Sports Club of Tampa Bay, Inc. was founded on January 30, 1997 as a development club of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS). Joyce Hogue and Erni Moore are recognized as the club co-founders. Onyx became an official club of the NBS on May 20, 2000. Additionally, in order to better serve our members, Onyx was officially accepted as a member club of the Florida Ski Council on May 31, 2008. The club’s mission is to introduce minority adults and particularly minority children to winter sports. Onyx hosts an annual Golf Tournament fund raiser to help fund various winter sports activities for underprivileged and academically accomplished youth of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco, and other bay area counties. NBS Mission: To identify, develop and support athletes of color who will win Olympic and international winter sports competitions representing the United States.
